EKU Dual Credit

Mid-Term Grade Reports– Mid-term grades are available for you to view! Please check your EKU Direct account for your grades. If you have a question or concern about your grade, please contact your instructor.

2.      Select: Student Services and Financial Aid

3.      Select: Student Records

4.      Select: Midterm Grades

If you do not have a mid-term grade for a course, you should check with your instructor.

Dual Credit Scholarships –Scholarships for the fall semester are currently being applied but we don’t have information for all schools yet.   You may check your student account by logging into EKU Direct and clicking on “Student Services and Financial Aid”, then click on “Student Financial Services” and “View My Account Balance”. If you believe you were supposed to receive a scholarship and have not, it should be completed soon.  If you still have a balance by the end of December please email us at dualcredit@eku.edufrom your student EKU email account.   Please note: due to Federal law, we cannot discuss student finances over the phone.

Course Fees– Some student accounts may be showing course fees due.  Dual Credit students are not responsible for course fees. These fees will be removed once scholarships have been applied!  

Digital TextbooksStudents are responsible for digital textbook charges.  Please check your account for these.

Thanksgiving Break - Thanksgiving break will start on Wednesday, November 23rd   at 9:00 pm for students and faculty with classes resuming on Monday, November 29th.   This does not mean that no assignments will be due on these dates.  Please check your course syllabus and Blackboard for assignment due dates.

Spring Dual Credit Application Deadline– Students currently taking courses do not need to apply for the spring semester.  If you know of someone not currently participating in EKU Dual Credit, applications for Spring 2022 are due on November 15th .   Transcripts  should accompany new applications.  ACT scores are not required for admission to the program but may be needed for prerequisites for some courses.  The application is available online at http://dualcredit.eku.eduunder the "How To Apply" link.  There is also an application tutorial on this page.

Withdrawals–Students who withdrew from class(es) during Fall 2021 will receive a “W” on their transcript and, while this will not affect your GPA, it may impact your financial aid (https://finaid.eku.edu/satisfactory-academic-progress-sap). Students who withdraw are still responsible for tuition and text charges.

Fall 2021 Final Grades –Final grades for Fall 2021  will be viewable in EKU Direct on December 7th .  Please check your grades by going to “Student Services & Financial Aid”, then “Student Records”.   If you believe your grade to be incorrect, please notify your instructor immediately and contact our office so that we can keep abreast of the situation.  Students who receive D’s and F’s will be removed from their Spring 2022 classes by the Registrar’s Office.   If you receive a D or an F by mistake, we need to contact the Registrar’s Office immediately to see if we can prevent you from being removed from your Spring classes.

Winter Break– There will be no classes on EKU Campuses December 6th  – January 16.  Dual Credit students can only take classes in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Seniors – Freshman Scholarships!  - Scholarships for graduating seniors are awarded on a “first-come-first-served” basis to students who apply to EKU as college freshmen their senior year, meet the stated criteria and accept their scholarship.  No additional scholarship application is required.  Students will receive the highest scholarship for which they are qualified. Please check out EKU’s Scholarship webpage at https://scholarships.eku.edu  for additional information.   Seniors should apply and be accepted to EKU prior to February 1, 2022 to be considered for a scholarship.  Apply online to EKU by visiting the Admissions website http://admissions.eku.edu/.

The Study Strong Scholarship–Check out the Study Strong Scholarship for students who participate in EKU Dual Credit and attend EKU as college freshmen.  The Study Strong Scholarship also benefits students who bring AP credit to EKU when they graduate from high school.  Check out the specifics of this scholarships athttps://scholarships.eku.edu/study-strong .

ACT– For students who wish to take the Residual ACT to qualify for the Dual Credit program, the dates for the last R-ACT are listed below.  Remember, Residual ACT test scores will reside at EKU; they cannot be sent to other schools.

Placement Tests- In addition to ACT test date options, students may opt to take placement tests in place of the ACT in order to meet pre-requisites.  Placement tests must be taken before December 1st and must be scheduled in advance by calling Academic Testing at 859-622-1281.  For more information about the placement test options please visit: https://testing.eku.edu/placement-testing.   Placement tests are also available at the Corbin and Manchester Campuses.  Call the campus to schedule test.
