EKU Dual Credit Update - August

Welcome to EKU Dual Credit!!!

Blackboard – All students should be able to access their online classes in Blackboard today.  You should access your class and complete any assignments in order not to be dropped from the class according to the First Day Attendance Policy.  If you cannot access your Blackboard account, please contact 859-622-3000 and follow the directions for assistance with Blackboard.

Textbooks – Hopefully, you have your textbooks by now.  If not, the easiest way to order them is through EKU Direct under Student Services and Financial Aid, then click on Registration, then click on Order Your Books Online.  Remember to check your EKU Direct Account and Blackboard to see if your class has a digital text before ordering a textbook.

Dual Credit Scholarships - Your scholarships have not yet been assigned to your account.  It will likely be late September before we receive the State Dual Credit Scholarship information. Once we assign the state scholarships, EKU Dual Credit scholarships will then be assigned.  Make sure you check the scholarship criteria in your packet with the information on your transcript so you know whether you qualify for an EKU Dual Credit scholarship. Once Dual Credit scholarships have been applied, we will notify you and request that you check your account for accuracy (this will likely be in October).

Account Balances – If you do not expect to receive a scholarship to pay for your course, or if you have a digital text invoice that needs to be paid, you can do so through your EKU Direct account or by following the instructions on the bottom of the Student Accounting web page.

You may occasionally see that you have been charged a late payment fee, preservation fee or special usage fee.  Late payment fees, the preservation fee and the special usage fees do not apply to Dual Credit students and will be adjusted periodically in your account

Labor Day – September 3rd is Labor Day and EKU is closed for this holiday.  Make sure you keep up with your course work through the holiday!  You may have assignments due over the holiday weekend.

The Fall Orientation presentation is online.  Please encourage your parents/guardians to view it this week.  The presentation can be found at at the bottom of the Fall 2018 list of packet information.
